A Lent Calendar

Mark 12 reminds us that faithfulness is not abstract—it is lived in the small, daily choices that reveal our priorities. Jesus invites us to ask: What belongs to Caesar, and what belongs to God? Nelson Mandela once reflected, “There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”*

I think of a local teacher who quietly buys winter boots for students who need them. She fills out the required forms, follows school policies, but her deeper loyalty is to compassion. Our community seeks to mirrors that same everyday faithfulness—offering meals, showing up in grief and celebration alike.

In what ways am I living out everyday faithfulness, acts of kindness or support?

Something to think about.
