Facility Rental Information
Eden United Church was built with the community in mind.
We can offer a multi-purpose meeting space as well as meeting rooms for community use.
The facility can be used as a meeting or conference space as well as a rehearsal or performance venue.
Eden is an ideal rental facility due to several factors:
- central location for arriving by vehicle or by public transport.
- ample parking for up to 190 cars
- fully air conditioned
- natural light in rooms either by windows or skylights
We offer space for recurring on-going activities such as:
- choral/instrumental/theatrical concerts and recitals
- schools and recreational events
- graduations and convocations
- support groups, service clubs & youth organizations.
- community and condominium meetings
- conferences and seminars
Sanctuary
The Eden Sanctuary was designed to have superb acoustics by the world-renowned architect Trevor P. Garwood-Jones, who also designed the Hamilton Place Concert Hall. It is an excellent space for choral, instrumental, or theatrical productions. There is the option of renting the Petrof 8ft Concert Grand Piano to accompany your musicians.
For those groups not wanting the church symbols of the chancel to be on display specially designed curtains can be drawn across. This provides a raised stage with a curtain backdrop and easy access to stage right or stage left.
The Sanctuary is well suited for graduations and other ceremonies. There are no fixed pews therefore it can also be set up for Conferences, dinners and dancing, fashion shows, community dinners or whatever your needs are.
It is also possible to expand the Sanctuary as the Narthex can be included by simply moving a wall of sliding glass doors and curtains.
For your multimedia requirements there is a digital sound system plus a power operated screen & projector which is connected to our computer for video or power point presentations. The sound system can be linked into the Narthex. When coupled with our three video cameras in the sanctuary, our staff can record your events and/or broadcast them live via YouTube, Teams or Zoom.

Narthex
The Narthex is an ideal reception room and meeting facility. It is fully carpeted with a small tile section for food service.
A wide expanse of full-length windows provides an abundance of natural light on one side, and on the other glass doors and curtains lead into the Sanctuary. It can be set up for informal discussion areas, a bright lecture hall or for dinners and receptions.
The Sound System with microphones can enhance the multimedia experience in this area and can be linked with the Sanctuary if required.
Room capacity: Standing only (e.g. reception) 380. Seating only – 200. Tables & chairs – 120
Two additional rooms can optionally be rented simultaneously with the Sanctuary and Narthex. They are often used as change areas for music/theatrical performances or breakout rooms for conferences or meetings:
Choir/Conference Room:
Skylights and indirect light make the Conference Room a pleasant space.
A corner coffee area with a sink and kettle allows refreshments to be served.

Library:
The Library is Eden's resource centre containing many books and informative literature, but it can also be used as a small meeting room or change area.

Our Location & Accessibility
Eden United Church is located in the heart of the Meadowvale community in Mississauga and is easily accessible by car and public transit. We are committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible environment for everyone who enters our doors.
We offer free on-site parking with approximately 190 spaces, including accessible parking located close to the main entrance. Our building provides step-free access at the main entrance. Inside, our worship and gathering spaces are wheelchair accessible, with wide hallways and accessible washrooms.
To support a comfortable and inclusive experience, we also provide:
• Accessible seating in the sanctuary
• A large overhead projector to enhance visibility during worship
• Large-print orders of service
• Large-print hymn books
• Clear signage throughout the building to assist with navigation
• Hearing assistance technology:
We use a RF transmitter system to broadcast audio from our main sound system directly to individual receivers available for those with hearing challenges. Receivers include over-the-ear speakers and feature personal volume control, allowing users to adjust sound levels to their comfort.
• We strive to maintain a scent-aware and nut-aware environment to support those with allergies and sensitivities; however, we cannot guarantee the facility will be completely free of scents or allergens.
