A Lent Calendar
March 3, 2026

In the second part of this sermon on the plain, Jesus proclaims 4 woes. Woe to those who are rich, full, laughing and praised. He reminds them of the impermanence of life. It is the nature of life that it has ups and downs. With the collection of Blessedness and woes, Jesus is telling his listeners that God’s favour is not bound to the ups and downs of life, but God’s favour, God’s love, is with them all the time.
What are your reflections on what Jesus has to say for you or for those you encounter, whether they are going through good times or bad?
