A Lent Calendar

We all live in the tension Jesus names—between the demands of the world and the call of God. The question is not whether the tension exists, but how we live within it. Jean Vanier once wrote, “To love someone is to show them their beauty, their worth, and their importance.”

Hassan, a newcomer to Canada, volunteers to help other immigrants navigate housing and employment systems. He knows the weight of bureaucracy, yet he chooses generosity over bitterness. His life is a testament to giving Caesar what is due while giving God what is sacred.

Our community does the same—holding one another in love, reaching toward the vulnerable, and choosing God’s dream even in the midst of the world’s demands.

Something to think about.
