A Lent Calendar

The Canaanite woman stands outside every circle of privilege: she is a foreigner, a woman, and a desperate mother advocating for her child—who bears the weight of spiritual, social, and cultural exclusion. Yet her voice becomes the catalyst for transformation. Jesus listens, learns, and responds with healing. Progressive faith calls us to center such voices, not simply welcome them. Listening deeply to those at the intersections of struggle reveals truths we cannot see alone.

Whose experience—especially that of someone advocating for a vulnerable child—am I overlooking that could reshape my understanding of justice and grace?

Something to think about.
