HELY KWAN
Accompanist/Pianist
Hely Kwan is a dedicated music educator and accompanist with over 20 years of experience in piano teaching, choir accompaniment, and handbell directing. She holds a Master of Arts in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Hong Kong Baptist University, as well as a DipABRSM in Piano Performance from the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.
From 2012 to 2015, Hely served as an Adjunct Lecturer and Handbell Choir Director at Hong Kong Baptist University, where she mentored students in ensemble performance and musicianship. In Hong Kong, she was actively involved in choir and handbell ministry as a performer, accompanist, conductor, and educator.
Hely moved to Canada with her family in 2022 and has since enjoyed becoming part of the local music community through ensembles including the Music Festival Choir, Mississauga Neighbourhood Choir, and Eden Bells aPeel. She continues to share her love of music through performance, collaboration, and community engagement.
