Our new Organist/Pianist, Bang-Shyuan (Ben) Chen, joined our Eden music community in August 2025 and the congregation has been enjoying his musical gifts since then!
Ben comes to Eden via Taiwan, Seattle, New York and Florida, where he recently completed his Doctor of Music in Piano Performance from Florida State University. Ben is a highly-accomplished pianist, winning the 2024 Doctoral Concerto Competition at Florida State University, the 2023 Rockwood Piano Competition, and the 2023 Annual Competitive Festival for Pianists at Florida State University.
He recently served as Church Pianist at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Tallahassee, Florida, and has also served at St. John's Episcopal Church in Bainbridge, Georgia, St. James Episcopal Church in Perry, Florida, and John Wesley United Methodist Church in Tallahassee.
Ben recently moved to Ontario with his partner, and his 2-year-old brown tabby cat!
