A Typical Sunday at Eden

Welcome to Sunday morning with Eden United Church. On arrival, you will be met by a person at the Welcome Table offering pertinent information and able to answer questions you might have.

Greeters will shake hands with you at the entrance to the narthex and direct you to an usher at the doors of the sanctuary who will provide you with a hymn book and a bulletin containing the order of service. When you have found a seat of your choice, you will find that people are visiting quietly or silently preparing for worship.

Following the announcements regarding the life and work of the congregation and upcoming events, the service begins with the worship candles being lit by different worshippers in the congregation. We sing together, pray together, participate in a time with children (after which the children are invited to attend Sunday School), are treated to uplifting music by our different choirs, hear the Word, listen to a meaningful sermon and share our gifts.

The service closes with prayer, a hymn and the sending forth to live our lives as God would have us live. The congregation then retires to the narthex for coffee, juice and conversation. Please come and join us.
