UCW

The UCW at Eden are an active group of women involved in serving the church, raising funds for the church and selected charities, and coordinating many of Eden's social events. All women members of the United Church are automatically members of UCW. There is no cost involved-simply a commitment to have a good time and enjoy friendship and fellowship with other women. We hold many events each year. The first Sunday of February is UCW Sunday. Different individuals organize the worship and take part. Often one or more members are honoured with a lifetime membership. The women serve communion and form the choir for that worship service. We meet in the fall for Applefest, a church dinner featuring apple dishes. The first Saturday in November is always our annual Christmas bazaar. We work year-round to prepare for this event. In the spring, we hold an annual retreat - a day of workshops filled with fun and fellowship. In May, our annual Fashion Show sells out quickly.

Our church community continues to grow and we are always striving to find ways to serve the needs of our members and the church. Because we have a large membership with a wide variety of interests, we have four units, each with their own personality, that meet monthly at the church. As a group, we meet three times a year for fellowship and business. You are invited to come out to any of these meetings. We would be happy to see you! Contact the church office at 905-824-5578 for more information if you are interested.
