McHappy Day (1 MB) - May 9, 2007

Eden United Church in support of McDonald's McHappy Day!  Money raised went to the Credit Valley Hospital.

 

Live, Love & Laugh Valentines Dance (4.5 MB) - The Saturday February 17th Valentine's dinner dance was a fabulous evening with “The Boomerang’s”. Thank you to Stephen Hurley for arranging his band to be here! The food was delicious and everyone had a good time! Thanks to the youth and all who helped with the event -  the Committee especially appreciated all the help with clean up !  We raised $1,560.52 for the work of the church!    Let’s do it again next year!

 

Simnel Cakes (5.5 MB) - The fourth Sunday of Lent has been traditionally a “pause” Sunday in this season of fasting and other personal disciplines. This midpoint Sunday was given over to a lighter, more joyous worship. In England, a special type of fruit cake was prepared. It is called Simnel Cake.

 

Mad Musicians Music Marathon (3.5 MB)- Back in the '80s, The ‘Mad Minister’ of the time - John Ambrose - spearheaded three day-long marathons: the goal for the first was 500 hymns; the second was 700 hymns; and the third - in the late 80s - was a 1000.  All this to raise funds for new furnishings and musical instruments.   In 2007, he was asked to do it again.  He agreed, and with the support of Catherine Ambrose, Carole Anderson, and Stephen Hurley – all talented musicians – teamed up and did one more Music Marathon on Saturday, January 20th, 2007.
