This Week at Eden
WELCOME BACK Sunday is Sept. 12.
This is an opportunity to register for Sunday School, and pick up a piece of the puzzle! You will need to be here to find out more about the puzzle and just how you fit in to it all! Hot dogs, potato chips, juice and rice crispie squares will be available after worship. So come and join us!
Eden Bazaar Vendor Applications
The Bazaar is on Saturday, November 13th. We are now accepting applications from vendors. If you or someone you know is interested, please call Betty Monasterski.
Richard Cunningham - Recital of Music, Sunday Sept. 19th at 3pm
Mark your calendars for Sunday September 19th – 3:00 pm as Richard Cunningham will be offering a recital of music written by him and for him. His accompanist will be Terry Vaskor, who is taking over Richard’s duties at Three Willows United Church .
DID YOU KNOW?
PAR (Pre Authorized Remittance is confidential is very convenient—once a month withdrawal (around the 15th of the month) can be changed anytime that you don’t need to be a member of the church to use envelopes or PAR using envelopes or PAR is the only way to be sure of getting a tax receipt.
Part-Time Custodian help
Eden United Church , 3051 Battleford Road , Mississauga , Ontario , is currently seeking a Permanent/Part-Time Custodian to be available 2-3 evenings a week and weekends as required. Job description available on request. Salary negotiable.

Did you know that Shoeless Joe’s and Caz’s restaurants give Eden 10% back from every meal you eat? Just identify that you are a member of Eden United and they will record this. Their business cards are available on the table outside the office.
Did you know if your place of employment happens to take part in an employee incentive program they may provide a donation to the charity where you volunteer your time? Some companies provide a donation to the charitable organization where their employees volunteer dependent on the number of hours volunteered yearly. If this is a program, your workplace offers than you may be able to help the Church financially as well as with your time. Please ask your employer if this is something that your company offers to its employees.
Did you know that Eden has developed a new rental policy that may help us financially? These are ways you can help us to reach our Line of Faith goal of $31,000.00 for 2010. Any questions speak to Marilyn Matthews, Allen Graham or Barry King.

Turtle Jack's Reward Program
Any time you dine at Turtle Jack’s Meadowvale, leave your receipt in their Team Rewards collection box with the name 'Eden Youth Group' on the back. Turtle Jack's will collect the receipts and give back 10% of the receipt amount (before taxes) to the Eden Youth Group.

Fundraisers . . . we can sink our teeth into!
Shoeless Joe’s Restaurant discount cards are on the table in front of the office. They have offered Eden United Church 10% back for all purchases members make with the card at their Meadowvale Town Centre location.
Caz’s Fish & Chips will also offer 10% back to Eden United Church for our purchases at their Erin Mills Parkway and Battleford location. Please remember to take the discount cards with you.
Baptisms
Families wishing to have their children baptized are asked to speak with Barry or Evelyn or contact the church office to register.
CANADIAN TIRE MONEY?
Don't know what to do with it? Is it taking up room in your car's glove compartment or your wallet? Don't throw it out - give it to the church…we can use it to buy gardening supplies etc. Place it in the box provided on the literature table across from the front office. Thank You.
FLOWER CALENDAR
All members of the congregation are invited to place flowers in the sanctuary for Sunday worship services. Order forms are located in the church office window with the flower calendar. The contact person is Fran Murphy. Please call NO LATER than one week prior to the date required. Thank You.
