Our Committees
Outreach - Save Darfur
!
The Outreach Committee's major project for 2008 is supporting the Save Darfur campaign. The Outreach Committee is asking for your support on their petition to Prime Minister Harper and President Hu Jintao of China to help stop the genocide in Darfur. Please check this out on the table in front of the office. Each name makes a difference!
Over the next few months, there will be many opportunities for you to learn more about this crisis in Sudan and how we can lend our voices to help stop the needless massacres taking place there. A first step to increasing your own awareness could be to go to the www.savedarfur.org website.
“Darfur: A Call to Action – Lessons from Faith Leaders” is a 20 minute documentary film produced by the Save Darfur Coalition. It has been purchased by the Outreach Committee to be circulated among Eden groups and individuals to become informed.
